Help for Guest Users

You can access eLibrary as a guest without entering a username or password. You may then search our catalogue of eJournals and eBooks and search any free resources. However, you will be prompted for your University username and password if you attempt to access any subscription only items that you find.
Without logging on you will be unable to search locked databases (identified by a padlock icon) or save articles or searches for later use.

Access to some of our subscribed library resources is available for guest use. For further information please see our
library webpage on electronic resources.

Access issues with Ovid databases
If you are trying to access Ovid databases (e.g.
Medline, EMBASE, PsycARTICLES, PsycINFO, CAB Abstracts, HMIC, and Social Policy and Practice) from within the Ask4 network, you may experience difficulties linking through to the Ovid platform. This is a known issue currently being investigated. Access to the Ovid platform via other networks should be unaffected.
ACLS Humanities ebooks
If you are using Internet Explorer errors are currently appearing when linking to ACLS ebooks, such as 'Oops, we aren't able to get to the page you requested...' As the message says, please copy and paste the URL into a new tab and it should then link to the ebook.
